Pythagorean Theorem History

Who was the great man who invented it?

His name was Pythagoras(569-550 B.C.E). He was a Greek scholar who did alot of travelling, exploring, and learning. Although not much is known form his early years, what we DO know is that he founded a group specially dedicated to mathematics called Brotherhood of Pythagoreans.

This group was very cult-like, due to that all their findings were to be kept secret. Although it is thought and believed that Pythagoras was the ACTUAL inventor, there is no real proof. Still, what we do know is that his group made alot of geometrical proofs.

Sadly, due to that all their findings were to be kept secret, it was not until 200 years later when a Greek mathematician called Eudoxus published all of their findings about this amazing theory and geometrical proofs.
